Upon his return from ECTRIMS 2016, Dr Tomas Kalincik from the Melbourne Brain Centre at Royal Melbourne Hospital spoke to MStranslate about recently published research by MSBase investigators.  Their study has disproven earlier work that had suggested everyone with multiple sclerosis (MS) progresses at the same rate once they reach certain disability milestones.  Some of the data from these published articles has been included in the below video.

To explore this investigation in more detail, Dr Kalincik volunteered to participate in an online discussion with members of the MStranslate community, which was conducted on the evening of Thursday 10th October, 2016.  A full recording of this discussion can be viewed below.  If this video raises any additional questions you would like answered, please don’t hesitate to comment on this page.  Alternatively, you can email your questions to brett@mstranslate.com.au.

MStranslate would like to sincerely thank Dr Kalincik for his time.  We must also recognise and thank our participants – Andrew, Sue, Bojana, Andrew, Brad and Toni – for their interest and involvement in the above discussion.  Without the contributions of our community, our Q&A events would not be as engaging and value-adding as they are.
