Personal Experiences of Undergoing AHSCT for Multiple Sclerosis

Our “MS: Many Stories” series is all about having members of the MStranslate community share insights into different aspects of their journey living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Due to the ever-increasing interest in Autologous Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (AHSCT) as a potential treatment for MS, we thought it important to capture the personal experiences, both positive and negative, of people who have undergone this therapy.

In this video, we meet Mark and Brenda. They explored AHSCT as a treatment for Mark’s progressive MS in the year 2000. This discussion is facilitated by Mark’s neurologist, Professor Helmut Butzkueven, who many will recognise from previous MStranslate videos on developments in MS research.

We thank each participant for their time and hope people find Mark and Brenda’s story both interesting and informative.
